Highside Market has announced its first tenant! Cleaver & Cork in Columbus will soon be slicing and serving high-quality meats, cheeses and more as the new local butcher in town.

Cleaver & Cork in Columbus will be the fifth location for the family-owned upscale butcher and artisan market.

It will join existing locations in Sharpsburg, Newnan and Alpharetta as well as one coming soon to Marietta.

Founded in 2018 by a husband-and-wife team, Cleaver & Cork focuses on quality. The shops provide premium meat cuts, fresh seafood, cheeses, charcuterie, wine, local products, craft beer and international gourmet foods.

By premium, they mean no hormones and no antibiotics!

One of the many cool things about the upcoming Cleaver & Cork in Columbus is the fact that their products change daily. So, every visit is as fresh as the meats and cheeses you’ll be leaving with.

In general, shoppers can expect steaks, briskets, pork, poultry, seafood, sausages, lamb and veal as well as other exotic meats like elk and quail.

Not only can you pick up fresh cuts of meat, you can get sides, breads and desserts too! Customers may find choices such as macaroni and cheese, potatoes au gratin, corn souffle or fresh vegetables, for instance.

What was once Ray’s Body Shop at the intersection of Third Avenue and 13th Street will be a Cleaver & Cork by the summer of 2023.
