About the movie
Maybe you’ve read the book. Or, you’ve watched the movie with a cup of hot cocoa. If not, you’re in for an entertaining trip!
“The Polar Express” is based on a 1985 children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. It came out in 2004 (which was 17 years ago, if you want to feel old).
Tom Hanks appears as the conductor of the train in the movie, which is headed straight for the North Pole. Along the way, young children make new friends and find out the true meaning of holiday spirit. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, this animated film runs for an hour and 40 minutes.
Only three more days until the Phenix City Christmas Festival 2021! Held by the Phenix City Parks and Recreation, it will be located at Phenix City Art Park at Whitewater Avenue, near the Phenix City Riverfront. It will kick off on Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. and wrap up around 8 p.m. The movie will begin at sunset.
