Have you heard? A popular Canadian-based coffee and bakery chain is making its way to the southern states! There may soon be a Tim Hortons in Columbus as well as nearby Atlanta if all goes according to plan.
What we know
Not much has been released in terms of Tim Hortons in Columbus or Atlanta. According to reports, we do know a handful of information.
For starters, we know Time Hortons in Columbus isn’t happening overnight. In fact, locations will be slowly rolled out and opened within the two metro areas throughout a five-year period.
Next, we know the franchise owner plans to open a total of 15 locations in Columbus and Atlanta combined.
Finally, we know the franchise owner resides in Atlanta, owns several other restaurants and believes Tim Hortons coffee is “the best around.”
More about Tim Hortons
According to their Facebook page, Tim Hortons was established in Canada in 1964 by hockey legend Tim Horton. The coffee chain first made its way to the states in 1986.
For the most part, Tim Hortons locations in the United States have remained in the Northeast and upper midwestern parts of the country. However, all that will change in the near future with the Georgia locations in the works!
Today, they still focus on brewing and serving guests their “Always Fresh” premium blend of coffee along with delicious donuts and more.
The menu
The menu may vary slightly by location. After we did a little digging, we did find the menu for a location in Buffalo, New York.
We can only assume the main categories will basically be the same down here as they are up there. Those include specialty seasonal items, coffee, iced coffee, hot beverages, cold beverages, donuts and Timbits, breakfast sandwiches, bagels and baked goods.
The Buffalo location also offers a limited lunch menu that includes choices such as a Chipotle Steak Wrap, Chipotle Chicken Bacon Wrap, a panini and chili.
